Maisie Smith looked glum as she headed back to the studio after landing in the bottom two on Strictly Come Dancing for the second week in a row.

The EastEnders actress, 19, cast a frown across her face as she made her way to training on Tuesday morning after another shock result.

The flame-haired beauty, who was tipped to win the BBC One show when it launched in October, had to be saved from elimination from the judges again on Saturday after losing the public vote.

In the end Maisie and her professional partner Gorka Márquez were given another chance, meaning that actress Caroline Quentin was booted from the competition.

Arriving at the all-important dance rehearsals, the soap star cut a casual figure as she donned a pair of ribbed grey leggings, which did wonders to flatter her gym-honed physique.

She wrapped up from the harsh London cold by throwing an over-sized slogan hoodie on and finished off the sporty ensemble with a pair of neon pink Crocs.

Keeping in line with coronavirus protocol, she made sure to don a face mask before entering the studio for rehearsals for her next epic dance.

Maisie embraced her natural beauty and went makeup-free for her latest appearance.

The stunning star’s appearance comes after Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood threw his support behind Maisie following her bottom two dance-off.

The 55-year-old Strictly expert said that Maisie may be struggling to soar in the competition because she “needs to win the hearts of the nation”.

Maisie recently revealed the reason why she feels the public hasn’t warmed up to her.

She told OK! mag: “People have said they can’t warm to me on Strictly, but I’m so nervous and that can be interpreted as arrogance.

“I’ll either go quiet, or I’ll go over the top to put on a confident front. It’s hard to not let it affect you. I do have to genuinely remind myself to just trust myself, and be me.”
