Love Island’s Jack Fincham says he’s absolutely devastated after a car crash in his new £35,000 Mercedes CLA.

The 29-year-old telly star was on his way to the pub at the weekend for a meal with girlfriend Connie O’Hara when he collided with another vehicle in Wilmington, Kent.

Jack, who won the ITV2 dating show in 2018 with then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, says he was turning right into the car park after signalling when another vehicle “ploughed” into him.

Nobody was injured in the collision, but bystanders said Jack and Connie, 24, appeared “shaken up” after what happened.

Their outing also silenced recent rumours of a split.

It was Jack’s second car smash in just over two months.

He told his fans about it in a video on his Instagram story, saying: “Day I’ve had, pulling into the car park to go have something to eat – Caesar salad if anyone’s interested – and a car has just ploughed straight into the side of my car as I’ve indicated to go in there.

“I do not have any luck with cars, I don’t understand it. I’m devastated, it’s a brand new car as well. Devastated.

“But thankfully no one was injured. It’s just a bit of metal at the end of the day, isn’t it? It’s all being dealt with by the police and the insurance company , but I’m just upset about the car, it’s such a shame.

“People need to slow down on that road, they really do need to slow down on that road because people do turn right.

“Devastated. Absolutely devastated.”

A picture obtained by The Sun, shows Jack stood with his car door open while Connie climbs out of the vehicle.

His car is blocking the road as Jack was forced to stop while turning into the pub car park.

A group of people are gathered around the car, seemingly checking that everyone involved in the crash is okay.

Another vehicle is just visible on the other side of Jack’s car.

Jack’s car had to be towed away after it was damaged.

The other car, reported to be a Chrysler, is also said to be badly damaged.

A witness told the publication: “It looked serious. There was a fair bit of damage. Everybody involved looked shocked and shaken.

“Jack looked stunned at what happened. It’s a nice car and no doubt it’s caused an awful lot of damage. It’s going to cost quite a lot of money to repair that.”

Jack was involved in another car collision in August.

A source told the publication: “He’s not been having much luck with cars lately. But it’s clear Jack was not at fault for this latest crash at all.”
