Love Island’s Amy Hart says she’s freezing her eggs as search for love continues

Amy Hart has revealed she’s freezing her eggs in the next few months as she continues to search for The One.

The former Love Island star, 27, got candid with her Instagram followers as she opened up about her baby plans, revealing that she’s not letting being single affect her dreams of becoming a mother.

Telling fans that last year she’s had her fertility levels are assessed – also known as a Fertility MOT – Amy revealed that “up until 35, 36, I should be fine”.

As questions began to pour in from curious fans, Amy wrote: “So Instagram tells me this week is National Fertility Week.”

She went on: I’ve always wanted to have kids and I’m certainly not going to let not meeting ‘the one’ stop me from having them.

“Last year I went to London Women’s Clinic and had a Fertility MOT done. I went on Loose Women to talk about my results.

“I will be freezing my eggs in the next few months and will be keeping you updated.”

The candid revelation sparked even more questions from fans, as some quizzed the reality TV star on how her test went.

Amy was happy to reveal that she has a “good number of eggs”.

She went on: “They did a blood test to check your AMH level, which is how long you’ll be fertile for. It’s not guaranteed but it’s a good way to see. The whole thing costs £400 at the clinic I went to.

“They told me my AMH level was 8.5, which sort of ties in with my family history of when my mum, my aunties and my nan have gone through the menopause.

“They told me I have a good number of eggs so up until 35, 36, I should be fine.”

The blonde beauty did admit that although she’s opting to freeze her eggs, it was actually a back up plans for her.

Revealing that she’s still vigilantly searching for Mr Right in a bid to fall in love and have children, Amy told fans: “I would love to meet someone and have a baby naturally but this is a back-up in case I don’t.

“Obviously it means when I meet the one, if he exists, I’ll have to be like, ‘so how do you feel then about kids?'”

Amy admitted that while her friends and family were supportive of the idea, some of her pals actually had trouble understanding why she would freeze her eggs at such a young age.

She explained: “My friends are family have been very supportive. A couple of outer group friends are like, ‘why are you doing that? You’re so young,’ and I’m like, I’m not going to be one of those people who falls pregnant at 40 so I need to do something.”

She concluded the Instagram Q&A by saying she would definitely be up for donating her eggs in the future, adding: “I know people who have had to use egg donors and stuff so yeah, I’d love to keep paying it forward.”
