Love Island star Ovie Soko says he still can’t quite believe how many people are interested in him and his life since he found fame on the ITV reality show.
The 29-year-old for basketball player was a contestant on the fifth season of the reality romance show which aired in the summer of 2019.
And while he won an army of fans and admirers, the strapping hunk is still in disbelief over his continued appeal more than a year since he appeared on the show.
The star opened up about his fame and hinted that he is almost overwhelmed by all the attention he receives after he was coupled with India Reynolds on the show and made it all the way to third place.
He told The Sun: “I do the same things that most of us do, have the same kind of quirky habits most of us probably have, so the fact that people are interested still blows my mind, to be honest.”
Okie has taken what he has learned about his life so far and written a book, titled You Are Dope.
Opening up about the tome he said: “The idea for the book was a culmination of life lessons that I have used.”
Ovie has been discussing his book – which is a self-help guide – on social media in recent weeks.
The reality star announced on Instagram last week: “This book was one of the most exciting projects I’ve had the chance to work on over the last year, was such a great experience making something of substance to GIVE BACK.
“I think there is something that everyone can take away from the read to help them on their life journey.”

Ovie was paired with India on Love Island where they finished in third place – losing out to Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague and overall winners Amber gill and Greg O’Shea.
The pair embarked on a romance out of the famous villa – but passion fizzled out by October and the pair “amicably” split.
