Love Island star Faye Winter has admitted that she still attends therapy more than a year after appearing on the hit dating show.
Faye, 28, came in third place alongside Teddy Soares, 27, in the 2021 series of the popular ITV2 reality programme, finishing behind winners Liam Reardon and Millie Court, who won the £50,000 prize money, and runners-up Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran. Last year’s winners announced in July that they have gone their separate ways following 12 months of dating but the runner-up couple are stronger than ever after leaving the Love Island villa.
The former lettings agent admitted that the “backlash was hard to deal with” since returning from Majorca in 2021, particularly from trolls regarding the plastic surgery she has had done and has reduced her lip filler for a more natural look.

She told The Sun: “I’m still in therapy and I think I’ll be doing it for a long time. I’ve always been very outspoken, I am myself, and if I need a bit of help along the way, then that’s OK.
“I’ve been very open and honest about what I’ve had done. The backlash was hard to deal with, I still have so many blocked words on my Instagram account and it took me a while before I could look at those words.”
Faye will be competing in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef

A portion of the backlash came in the aftermath of a clip from Casa Amor when Faye went on a tirade at boyfriend Teddy, sparking a record-breaking 24,763 Ofcom complaints over her foul-mouthed rant. The incident is believed to be the most expletive episode in the show’s history, with the Islanders reportedly swearing 125 times and Faye contributing nearly half that total on her own.
However, the trolling continues to be a factor in Faye and Teddy’s everyday life with the couple opening up about the vile abuse they have to endure. Faye, who will be competing in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef, said her and Teddy have been struggling after a “tough time” with online trolling, and detailed just some of the cruel messages she has to block out.

She claims some nasty trolls tell her they hope she “can’t carry children”, and “doesn’t deserve” to have a family with her long-term partner. But she is grateful to have Teddy’s Portuguese mother on hand to help her handle the trolling after she experienced similar issues when she first struck up a romance with the star’s dad.
