Glastonbury: Lorde declares: ‘F**k the Supreme Court
Lorde shared her views on the overturning of Roe vs Wade during her set at Glastonbury Festival 2022.
The Royals singer played from 7:30 – 8:45pm on Sunday evening and took the opportunity to declare ‘f**k the Supreme Court’.
On Friday, the Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe vs Wade ruling that made abortion legal nationwide almost 50 years ago.
It is expected to lead to abortion bans in roughly half of US states and women in some States could be prosecuted if they get an abortion.
Lorde, along with many other musicians during their sets at Glastonbury, used her large platform to slam the Supreme Court’s decision.

At the end of her song Secrets From a Girl (Who’s Seen It All), she slightly changed the lyrics to share a message concerning the reversal of the 1973 ruling.
“Your bodies are destined to be objectified since before you were born. That horror is your birth right. But here’s another secret,” she said.
“You possess ancient strength, ancient wisdom, wisdom that has propelled every woman that came before you.”
She added: “I ask you today to make accessing that wisdom your life’s work because everything depends on it.”
