Kym Marsh has defended Katie Price for putting makeup on her 13-year-old daughter Princess.
The former glamour model, 42, was slapped with lots of criticism from angry fans who slammed her for letting the teen get a full makeover at home.
But former Corrie star Kym, 44, hit back at the critics, saying it’s normal for a teenager to experiment with her look.
In her OK! mag column, Kym penned: “I saw that Katie Price came under fire for allowing her 13-year-old daughter Princess to get her hair and make-up done.
“She did look very grown-up, but maybe people are forgetting she’s a teenager and experimenting with your look is very normal at that age.”
Mum-of-three Kym, who has daughters Emily, 23, and Polly, nine, as well as 25-year-old son David, admitted she experimented with makeup as a teen at school.
“I was sneaking in make-up to wear at school at about 14, and my eldest daughter Emilie started playing with it around the same age,” she recalled.
“I’m happy for my daughter Polly to dress up and play, as long as it’s in the comfort of our own home and around family and friends.”
Last week, Katie – who shares Princess and son Junior with ex-husband Peter Andre – stunned fans after sharing a series of snaps showing Princess with a jaw-dropping makeover.
The 13-year-old girl looked far older than her years with straightened hair, false eyelashes and a full face of makeup.
Former glamour model Katie gushed over her teen girl and bragged the blonde beauty is her “mini-me”.
But despite the heavy makeup – including full eyebrows, smoky eyeshadow and glossy lips – Katie still edited Princess’ face by using a filter on her Instagram video.
“Like mother like daughter,” she captioned the Boomerang clip, which showed her flicking her own straightened locks as she pouted at the camera before showing Princess copy her mum with her own kissing-face pose.
