Kim Kardashian sparks fury with defiant bikini snap at controversial island bash
Kim Kardashian – who has an estimate worth of £695million – defiantly posted about her island birthday bash after she sparking a furore on social media over the event
Defiant Kim Kardashian continued to stir her haters on social media by sharing more envy-inducing posts from her birthday bash.
The star – who is estimated to be worth around £695million – faced waves of criticism when she jetted out her family and pals to a tropical island to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Never shy of controversy, she stood united with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney on the sandy beach in their tropical paradise.
Kim, 40, slipped her curves into a beige bikini while Kourt caught the eye in stripes and Khloe modelled a leopard print two-piece.
Cloudy blue skies and palm trees made the perfect backdrop for her latest Instagram from her controversial holiday.
Seemingly oblivious to the outrage, she wrote: “Girls just wanna have sun.”
Criticism for the star continued to snowball on social media and in the comments section of her posts.
Kim was blasted as “tone deaf” as many people drew attention to the US death toll in the pandemic hitting around 226,000.
Others have pointed out the non-essential travel ban put in place in California.
But the travel ban doesn’t apply to her.
Especially for the showbiz extravaganza, Kim had organised for all her V.I.P guests – from her famous clan to old school pals – to quarantine before the trip, have multiple health screenings and travel via private plane.
Even in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, the reality queen ensured her show-stopping birthday plans didn’t go amiss.
“Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment,” she wrote on Twitter.
“After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
