Khloe Kardashian has opened up about the trauma she faced at being torn apart from daughter True when she was forced to self-isolate following her coronavirus diagnosis.

The reality star, 36, was tested for the deadly virus after suffering with symptoms including headaches, hot and cold flashes and a burning cough.

Before viewers of Keeping Up With the Kardashians get to watch Khloe’s health scare unfold in the next episode, the star spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about the experience on her daytime talk show.

Recounting the ‘scary’ ordeal, Khloe said the worst part ‘by far’ was not being able to see the daughter she shares with Tristan Thompson for more than two weeks while she fought off the virus alone.

Preempting some criticism from her haters, Khloe snapped: “I don’t care about how beautiful of a place you have… being taken away from your child – because I couldn’t be around my daughter – was the most heart-wrenching thing.”

Detailing the experience, Khloe continued; “At the very beginning, I tested positive and it was so incredibly scary. I mean, it’s still scary, but especially then, when the whole world was shutting down, and we didn’t have really any information, or the information we had just changed every single day.”

Ellen, 62, then asked Khloe if she’d been ‘really sick’ or was asymptomatic.

Khloe said she ‘felt really quickly on’ that she ‘was getting sick with something’ and was shocked to be struck by illness when she’d been so careful during the pandemic.

“I remember I just wore a mask, I remember I wore gloves, just because speculation all about COVID, but nobody really knew, and we were all like, ‘There’s no way I could have COVID,’ she said.

However, after she managed to get tested, Khloe was given the news she had been fearing.

She was then forced to quarantine alone in her room for 16 days as she recovered.

Khloe captured her days in isolation on the camera on her phone, with the footage to be broadcast in next week’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

A trailer for the episode has already been released showing Khloe’s anxious family come to terms with her diagnosis.

Khloe was struck down not long after attending her friend Malika Haqq’s babymoon in Palm Springs, California.

In the trailer, sister Kim tells the cameras that the whole family was nervously waiting to hear if Khloe had the potentially fatal virus after began experiencing some worrying symptoms.

The usually fit and healthy Khloe was suffering with vomiting, shaking and having hot and cold flashes. She also explained she had developed a burning cough and was struggling to speak.

“I mean, my gut tells me she does, just because she’s so sick,” said Kim, whose husband Kanye was also struck by COVID-19 earlier this year.

“That really scares me for her, ’cause I can tell that she’s now getting scared and that she’s really nervous about it,” added Kim.

Momager Kris Jenner then told how an anxious Khloe had phoned every doctor in town trying to get a test.

In self-recorded footage as she isolated, Khloe then revealed she was confirmed to have the virus.
