Khloe Kardashian has faced a huge backlash after she shared her desire to host a Christmas party despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The 36-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star had replied to a fan who had questioned on social media whether Covid had brought an end to any plans for the KarJenners to get together.
The family usually hosts an extravagant get together in which they transform one of their homes into a winter wonderland.
Kim Kardashian took on the hosting role last year and it seems that Khloe is prepared to do the job this time around.
When asked if the ‘do’ would be cancelled this time, Khloe replied: “I pray not! I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that!”
She added: “But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas!
“It will just have to be small and safe. Maybe do rapid testing before. We have to think of what is safest.”
This response seemed to prompt an angry reaction among her followers, with some questioning whether using coronavirus tests for this purpose was a best use for it when millions of Americans were succumbing to the virus.
One hit back at her: “I love ya Klo but is that the best use of the tests we have? So you can party? Just keep it to family. We are all making sacrifices this year.”
Another tore into the reality star, writing: “Seriously? Asking them to deny themselves anything? No way. This COVID stuff is such an inconvenience for them.”
It has been a tough few weeks for the Kardashians, as they faced heavy criticism online when Kim celebrated her birthday with 30 of her friends and family on a private island.
As Kim posted a slew of bikini pics on Instagram, she was slammed for what was described as a “disgusting display of wealth” as she showed off their luxury trip to the Tahitian island.
Kim infuriated her followers by posting: “After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
“We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more.”
The Kardashians were slammed for being “out of touch” with reality as many still faced restrictions imposed by the spread of coronavirus.
