Khloe Kardashian has spoken out about the decision to cancel Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying she was “devastated” when she was told it was over.

The 36-year-old reality star spoke to her real life “emergency contact”, BFF Malika Haqq on new hit podcast Emergency Contact.

Khloe described the decision to pull the plug on the family’s reality show as “devastating” as she admitted that she is not “good with change”.

Discussing the end of the show with podcast host Simon Huck, Khloe said: “It’s sad, but we’ve been doing this for 15 years. We get two weeks off a year. It’s exhausting.”

Khloe added: “We’re all in a different place in our lives and some of us need a nap.

“It’s hard because I’m not good with change, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a break.”

Kim Kardashian broke the news last month that the KarJenners had decided to bring the reality show to an end after 20 seasons, meaning it will finish in 2021.

The 39-year-old reality star shared a prepared statement on her social media, adding in the caption: “I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years.

“This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”

Speaking on the podcast, Khloe echoed these sentiments, saying: “The day it happened, Malika and I were talking throughout the day, because you don’t have to be a main character — you’re still a part of this journey from day one, even if you were in the first episode or no.”

She added: “You’re on this journey with us and just for any chapter to end, that doesn’t mean everything is ending for good.

“That just means there’s room for another chapter to open.”

As well as speaking about the impact of KUTWK on her life, Khloe also spoke candidly about what she was doing before the reality series took off.

Back in 2007, Khloe said she was employed as Nicole Richie’s assistant: “I went to school with her. She was one of my best friends growing up and we were just really, really close and then when she started doing Simple Life – I think it was after Simple Life – she just needed some help and I just needed a job.”
