Kerry Katona has opened up about the painful moment her daughter Heidi told her she ‘didn’t want to be here’.
The star, 41, who shares the teen with her ex Max Croft, says she was heartbroken when she realised the extent of her daughter’s anxiety.
The mum-of-five revealed she felt “completely helpless”, adding: “it broke my heart and I cried my eyes out.”
Writing in her column for new!, Kerry referenced Christine McGuinness’ nine-year-old daughter Penelope, who told her mum she didn’t want to live during the pandemic.
Stating the story was ‘absolutely heartbreaking”, Kerry said: “I don’t think the pandemic had that much of an effect on my children in that sense, but Heidi suffers with anxiety and a lack of self-confidence in general. And she has got to a point where she’s spoken like that. She once sat on her bed and told me she didn’t want to be here any more.”
