Kelly Clarkson gave a sassy response to an online hater who took aim at her broken marriage and her ability to parent her children.
The 38-year-old singer, who is standing in for Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent, was in no mood to spare a pleasantries when she was subjected to vicious attack on Twitter.
Earlier this year, Kelly had filed for divorce from her husband of almost seven years, Brandon Blackstock.
It would seem that rankled with one of her ‘fans’ who hit out after she took her place with the judges on AGT earlier this week.
The troll slammed the singer, tweeting: “Now Kelly is taking Simon’s place…no wonder her marriage didn’t work.
“Surprise she has time for her kids. Not the good old country girl we fell in love with, it’s all about Kelly being on tv … and no one else… no tears for her… but for her kids.”
Kelly was not going to let that remark go unchecked and launched into an attack of her own as she put the troll in their place with venom.
She hit back: “Wow. Shaming a woman who has a great work ethic, is a great mom, and who steps up and fills in when a friends asks for a favour because that’s actually what ‘good old country girls’ do…. this can’t be who you are deep down. I have more faith in your heart. Aim higher please.”
Kelly has had her fair share of haters, who seem to have nothing better to with their lives than take aim at every aspect of hers.
She preempted the fallout from a previous post in which she spoke about her daughter River’s hair, which Kelly had painted purple.
She wrote on Instagram : “I put a purple streak in my daughter’s hair today and I swear to you she thinks she is as cool as Prince now.
“Full on air guitar, singing at the top of her lungs, that is what’s happening…”
She then stuck the boot into the trolls who were probably dying to have their say on what Kelly was doing.
The singer added: “and before I get attacked for being the worst mom ever, it’s safe, organic paint.”
Kelly has two children from her marriage to Brandon – five-year-old daughter River and four-year-old son Remington Alexander.
