Kehlani Reveals She’ll Drop Tory Lanez From One Of Her Upcoming Music Videos

Hip-hop fans know Tory Lanez isn’t really a fan favorite at the moment. Kehlani and Lanez recently worked on a music video for her song, “Can I,” a track that sees Tory Lanez as a featured rapper. It was supposed to come out tomorrow, however, there will be some changes.

According to a report from Hot New Hip Hop, Kehlani and Megan Thee Stallion have a working relationship together. In fact, they’re friends. While at Diamond Ball in 2019, Variety asked Megan about her project, Suga.

She didn’t want to say too much about the release, however, she did admit that she and Kehlani had worked together on a song. Megan reportedly said she “loved” Kehlani. The artist appeared on Megan’s song, “Hit My Phone,” and Megan appeared on Kehlani’s “Real Hot Girl Skit.”

It appears Megan and Kehlani have a great relationship, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that Kehlani has chosen to distance herself from Tory Lanez following the reports he had shot her in her feet.

Fans recently pointed out how Kehlani had stopped following Tory on Instagram.

While it’s not entirely clear what happened between Megan and Tory, reports have indicated that the pair got into a fight at a house party which led him to shoot her in the foot. Other sources who spoke with Adam22 from the No Jumper podcast, claimed Megan and Tory were fighting over Kylie Jenner.

Interestingly, however, Tory Lanez hasn’t been listed as an official suspect in the shooting yet, but he was booked on gun possession charges. Either way, On the 29th of July, Wednesday, Kehlani shared on her Twitter account that the music video for “Can I,” will no longer feature Lanez.

The performing artist told her fans she couldn’t remove Tory’s feature from the song, but it was eliminated from the music video. She said, “I can’t remove it, it doesn’t work like that.”

Featuring Tory in the music video would obviously go against the values of her latest track, which vocally supports women. In fact, earlier today, Kehlani said she supported women and always believes them.
