Katie Price ‘spotted taking first steps’ in Maldives after breaking her feet

Former glamour model Katie Price has reportedly walked for the first time while on holiday with boyfriend Carl Woods in the Maldives, having broken her feet earlier this year

Katie Price has been seen taking her first steps in the Maldives after breaking her feet.

The former glamour model, 42, was previously informed that she would face 18 months of rehabilitation after breaking her feet while on holiday in Turkey earlier this year.

Now, new images have shown Katie appearing to walk her first steps while on holiday in the Maldives with boyfriend and former Love Island star Carl Woods.

A source told The Sun: “Katie is undergoing three hours of intensive hydrotherapy rehabilitation a day and has been in the gym every day.

“She defies all odds as doctors told her she wouldn’t walk for two years and is almost there with her recovery.”

They added that Katie’s boyfriend Carl has been supportive of her health journey throughout.

A representative for Katie Price commented that her walking was “a split second of testing the waters and wearing her orthopedic boots that give full support.”

They also noted that Carl was there to support Katie and that she was not unaided by her orthopedic boots.

Katie is said to be ready to take her first unaided steps when given “the green light from her surgical team.”

Katie’s representative added that the couple have extended their stay in the Maldives.

They said: “Katie has been told by her medical team to take regular hydro therapy (swimming) as it’s non weight bearing”.

It is noted that this therapy could positively impact her physical and mental health.

The statement added that Katie’s family are supporting her decisions that are best for her well-being.

Mirror Online has reached out to a representative of Katie Price for further comment.

The news comes after Katie appeared over Skype from the Maldives for her bankruptcy hearing earlier this week.

Speaking of her mental health, Katie said: “It is a long and tense process but I feel progress is now being made.

“I can only apologise, I just haven’t been able to deal with these issues or in the right mental state to understand everything that has been going on.”
