Katie Price says ‘eating is killing’ 29st son Harvey as she fears for his future

Katie Price has spoken about her fears that her son Harvey is going to become seriously ill as he can’t break his ‘obsession’ with eating.

The 42-year-old former model has said that Harvey, 18, is nearly 29st in weight and that there was no way of breaking his current feelings about food, as “if he doesn’t get food he gets angry.”

Katie has already issued a plea on social media for gym equipment, in a bid to help Harvey curb his current lifestyle but she is worrying the he is eating his way to a premature death.

She has said that Harvey’s relationship with food is linked to his disabilities with his appetite caused by his genetic condition ­Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Katie is now feeling that Harvey’s weight is putting a huge strain on his body and that he could suffer a heart attack, with doctors describing the situation as “critical”.

Extreme measures have been put in place at her home, with a padlock on the fridge and locks on the cupboards, to try and stop Harvey from plundering the food inside.

Speaking about Harvey’s conditions with The Sun, Katie described them as a “cruel illness” and that it’s “killing him” every time “I feed him”

Katie issued an urgent appeal to her son, saying: “He needs to lose weight or he’ll end up dead. He doesn’t deserve that. I don’t want to lose him.”

The problem that Katie is facing is that Harvey turns violent if he is denied what he wants and she said “f he doesn’t get food he gets angry. It’s hard work.”

The reality star said that she has had to “re-plaster my walls” after Harvey hit them with his head in a rage.

Katie said that it what Harvey eats behind her back which is the biggest concern with her warning that he “even eats in his sleep.”

She is looking to take drastic action but admits there are added difficulties as Harvey is not enjoying being house-bound during the current lockdown.

Katie revealed that the situation is so severe that she tells him “he’ll die” if it continues but Harvey replies: “No, don’t be silly, Mummy’s only joking.”

Added to this is the problem with buying Harvey clothes as Katie said “here are only two shops on the internet” where she can buy them for him as “his clothes are 7XL”.

Katie fears that the “damage is done” even if they are able to curb Harvey’s eating and that he is already “sweating and out of breath” if he walks upstairs.

She is looking to introduce some exercise into Harvey’s life, taking it lightly and slowly to begin with.

Katie has warned though: “There is no time to wait, he has to lose weight now.”
