Kate Lawler is ecstatic as she’s expecting a baby girl with her fiancé Martin.

The former Big Brother star, 40, will welcome her first child with her partner in February after announcing the news in September.

The happy couple were left bursting with joy after finding out the baby’s gender on Sunday.

Kate was especially pleased as she plans to “take over” the house with girl power.

The reality-star-turned-DJ wrote on her Instagram : “My long term plan to assume total control over the household is nearly complete (Just kidding).

“We are both delighted to share with you all, that we are having a little girl. Happy Sunday everyone. x”

She shared a video with Beyonce’s song Run The World (Girls) playing over the top as she shared the exciting news.

The star held up a pair of sparkly pink trainers as her dog jumped up and licked her face.

The star shared another snap posing with her dog to express her excitement, gushing: “You’re joking… What another one? Yes Baxter. Another sister. I can’t wait for the doggies to meet our daughter #ItsAGirl.”

She recently shared a baby scan snap with fans after announcing she’s expecting her first child.

She posted an image of her baby on Instagram, and wrote: “A head, a thumbs up, a wave, a teeny foot and the universal symbol for #SmashYerFaceIn.

“Baby Boj gave us quite an entertaining performance at the 16 week scan.”

They will welcome the new addition to their family in February next year.

Big Brother’s 2002 winner said she has “never felt more ready” to have a baby than now as she shared her happy news.

She said: “I have never felt more ready.”

Their plans to have a baby were kick started after the couple were forced to postpone their wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Friends and family suggested the lovebirds could have a baby beforehand – and the plan was born.

She told Hello magazine : “The wedding got cancelled and I wasn’t thinking about a baby at all.

“But when we rebooked it for the following year, a few of our friends and family said we could have a baby between now and then. I laughed.

“But then I turned 40 in May and suddenly I felt grown up and like I was ready for something and I didn’t know what it was.

“We realised we would have to start trying straight away to avoid having a newborn at the wedding. So we did. We gave it one shot. And it happened!”
