Kanye West has responded after Jennifer Aniston made cutting remarks about his bid for the US presidency.
Rapper Kanye announced in July that he would be taking on incumbent Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden for the White House in next week’s election.
Friends star Jennifer endorsed Biden and warned that “it’s not funny to vote for Kanye West.”
And in a since-deleted tweet, Kanye came back to Jennifer, panning the show that made her a household name.
First, he shared a screengrab of an article about Jen’s words, writing – in reference to his recent interview with Joe Rogan – that “that Rogan interview got em shook.”
“Let’s gooooo,” Kanye added.
He went on: “Friends wasn’t funny either.”
Jennifer recently became another big name to endorse Biden, who was the Vice President under Barack Obama.
“#IVOTED for @joebiden and @kamalaharris. I dropped my ballot off, and I did it early I voted for them because right now this country is more divided than ever,” she wrote in a lengthy Instagram statement.
“Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies. Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died.
“I urge you to really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now… your daughters, the LGBTQ+ community, our Black brothers and sisters, the elderly with health conditions, and your future kids and grandkids (who will be tasked with saving a planet that our leadership refuses to believe is hurting).
“This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency.”
She added: “PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.”
Jen made her Instagram debut earlier this year and promptly sent the Internet into meltdown with a reunion snap of the Friends cast.
Kanye’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience saw them chat for nearly three hours about his intentions in politics.
