Kanye West has tweeted from the hospital amid the social media frenzy that has followed his wife Kim Kardashian announcing that the family’s reality show is coming to an end.
The 43-year-old rapper shared a video of him having his hand numbed as fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians came to terms with the news that the plug is being pulled on the show.
While Kim, 39, and her 36-year-old sister Khloe have shared their thoughts on how the reality show has changed their lives, Kanye was once again in his own moment as he shared with fans that he was having treatment for ‘texting too much’.
Kanye shared a pic of him having an injection into his wrist and then followed that with a video of the same procedure.
Captioning the photo, Kanyes wrote: “Too much texting bro Had to get the cortisone mixed with a wittle sprinkle of lidocaine”.
The use of lidocaine is to numb the area as it is an anaesthetic. In a second tweet, alongside a video, he revealed that he was having Dexamethasone injected into his wrist.
This is an an anti-inflammatory medication and Kanye wrote: “Lidocaine worked instantly!!! The dexamethasone takes 24 to 48 hours Modern medicine.”
The timing of the posting as the Kardashian sisters shared their feelings about the finishing of their reality show, was not lost on fans.
Kanye has dominated news surrounding the family of recent weeks and it was no surprise that he wanted a slice of the spotlight at this exact moment as well.
The thoughts of fans were summed up in one tweet, which read: “Kanye tweeting about numbing his hand while Kim is reminiscing about the end of KUWTK is very Kanye of him.”
Kanye’s thoughts came out at the same time a lengthy statement about Keeping Up With The Kardashians, was posted by Kim on Instagram.
The statement, which was addressed to “our amazing fans,” read: “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.
“We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way. “Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives. “Our last season will air early next year in 2021.”
