Kandi Burruss had a pretty steamy scene on The Chi and now, she is opening up about her husband’s reaction to it! In other words, what did Todd Tucker think about watching his wife’s character in bed, making out with someone else?
As it turns out, Kandi and Todd actually watched it together!
This is what the star dished during a new interview for HollywoodLife.
As fans know, Kandi Burrus had a really hot scene on SHOWTIME’s The Chi on July 19.
She admitted that her hubby saw the episode with her and that things got a bit tense as a result.
‘He watched it. We went ahead and watched it together. I wanted to just get it over with because, to be honest, it made things a bit tense in the house,’ she told the news outlet over video chat.
But even though the scene made him uncomfortable, Kandi confessed that rather than seeing it, it was the anticipation that was even worse for Todd.
At the end of the day, even though Kandi is determined to do her thing no matter what, she stressed that she understands why her husband reacted like that.
‘I think he thought it was going to be worse. If you are a couple and your significant other’s grinding and kissing somebody else. Awkward! I think they took it a bit light on me because I feel some of the other sex scenes on the show were extremely hot. They let me off easy a bit just letting me keep my skirt hiked up!’
Kandi then went into some detail about the behind the scenes, saying that ‘The way they prepare is…First of all, this was my first time doing a sex scene and I believe it was Curtiss [Cook]’s too even though he has been acting forever. For me, I was a little, kind of nervous about it because I was like, ‘OK.’ I did not know what would be required.’
