Defiant Jonathan Ross refused to have his Halloween completely ruined this year after his usual shindig was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The telly star is usually the celebs’ go-to man at this time of year.

The spooky parties, held at his north London home, are always the hottest ticket in town as a host of stars get dressed up to enjoy the festivities in incredible style.

But terror-fan Wossy, 59, was left feeling a little glum this year – as handing out sweets to strangers was as good as it got.

He was pictured in a boiler suit and gloves trying to get in the mood – but the presenter was clearly cursing Covid after it pulled the plug on his party.

However local kids were thrilled as the star dished out bags full of goodies from behind his gate.

At least he has the memories of last year’s awesome do.

Scarlett Moffatt and Craig Revel Horwood stole with show back in October 2019 as everyone got in the mood.

Sassy Scarlett was joined by a friend dressed as Ab Fab’s Patsy and they arrived clutching huge inflatable bottles of Champagne and fake cigarettes.

Strictly’s Craig looked incredible in an outrageous Cruella Deville costume.

He looked almost unrecognisable in a Madonna-style red corset, knee knight boots and a Dalmatian-spotted coat.

But Irish actress Aisling Bea raised most laughs.

She went as Coleen Rooney – and printed out Coleen’s Twitter message from her spat with Rebekah Vardy and hung it around her neck.

After calling in the party planners to help transform his house into creepy funhouse last year, generous Jonathan invited his neighbours to come and feast their eyes on the decorations themselves.

He previously said one of the joys of his parties were that famous faces were often able to conceal their identities with the costume so guests never knew who they were mingling with.

“Some people you don’t know are there which is great because some people don’t want to be seen out and about,” he said.

“Benedict Cumberbatch came one year and he came bandaged up as The Invisible Man so no one would know who it was coming in and going out.”

Now the countdown is on for the 2021 bash.
