Joe Wicks may have made millions over the years thanks to his fitness programs and eating plans – but he could soon reach the dizzy heights of billionaire status should his forthcoming app take off.

The 34-year-old fitness fanatic – who has published books under his The Body Coach moniker and was the savour of parents during lockdown with his online PE classes – is expanding his business.

And while he is already said to be worth an estimated £14.5 million, it is predicted his wealth will explode should a planned app prove successful.

Joe reportedly has plans to use his app – which will feature his Lean In 15 cooking recipes and his HIIT workouts – to crack America, and he reckons he can help combat the USA’s obesity problem in the process.

A source told the Sun on Sunday: “Joe has scoured the market for the best tech heads to work on the app and wants it to be super user-friendly.

“He’s all about accessibility and not overcomplicating his brand. America’s got a huge obesity problem and he’d love to help tackle that with the app.

“Users will be able to adapt it to their body type and fitness level so everyone can have a go.”

Mirror Online has contacted a representative of Joe for comment.

Just last week reports emerged that Joe had splashed out £4.4 million on a dream five-bedroom house for his family that he shares with wife Rosie Jones.

The pair have two young children, and Joe has previously discussed his joy at being able to provide for his family.

He said of his new pad in Surrey: “I’ve dreamed about having a home like this for my babies to grow up in.

“We have outgrown our old home – we are moving on and I’m excited about starting a new chapter.”
