Jessie J and Channing Tatum were one of showbiz’s best-loved power couples, their two splits making waves among fans.

They struck up a romance in 2018, after Channing’s split from ex-wife Jenna Dewan, before they broke up late last year.

The couple reunited in January this year before splitting a second time.

Channing even made the move to the UK to be with Jessie, while Jessie was a hit with his daughter, Everly.

Now it’s been speculated that Jessie’s powerful lyrics for her upcoming album will address their whirlwind romance.

Crooner Jessie recently previewed fresh track Simply Be In Love to her fans on an Instagram Live.

The emotional lyrics hint the Jessie regretted “rushing” into a past relationship.

They read: “You’re always dreaming about tomorrow, and I’m still overthinking yesterday / Where you go I know I want to follow, let’s make a promise on today.

“Take it slow, baby steps, so we don’t ruin what comes next / Just be still, just stay calm, so we’re not rushing what we are.

“Pressure off, just have fun, it’s not a race, no need to run / If it’s for ever, let’s just simply be in love.”

The star herself dished on the background to the track, while steering clear of naming who it was written about.

“I wrote this song about when you first meet someone and you want to steam ahead,” she told fans.

“Sometimes running can ruin a foundation that a relationship needs, which is to just be chill, stay still and enjoy the moment.”

When their second split was announced early this year, a source told People that they still “really care for each other.”

“You only need to look at the gushing posts they made about each other during their relationship to see that,” the insider added.

“That’s why they wanted to give their romance another shot, but sadly it hasn’t worked out.”

But the two stirred the rumour mill when Magic Mike star Channing was spotted taking out the bins outside her LA house in May.

Fans began speculating that the two had reunited and were spending lockdown together.

Jessie also shared a sweet message for Channing to mark his 40th birthday.

But nothing was confirmed, and it seems they’ve remained split.
