Jessica Simpson has sent temperatures soaring in a pair of Daisy Dukes while modelling for her latest fashion line.

The singer, actress and fashion designer, 40, was able to show off her remarkable weight loss since giving birth to daughter Birdie last year.

Since welcoming her little girl in March last year, Jessica, who also shares eight year old Maxwell and seven year old Ace with hubby Eric Johnson, has shed a jaw-dropping 100lbs.

The star, who’s acting highlights include The Dukes of Hazzard, Entourage and Blonde Ambition, tied a yellow and white checkered shirt in a knot to reveal her toned torso beneath.

In another snap, she carried little Birdie on her hip, while elder daughter Maxwell sat in a camper van behind her.

The star recently took time to reflect on her past addiction battle that saw her spiral into drug and alcohol abuse.

She told that she’d turned to the substances as a method of coping with her crippling anxiety and insecurities.

Jessica has now been sober for three years.

Speaking to SiriusXM, Jessica revealed: “I didn’t even realise how much I was drinking and how much I was suppressing.

“I thought it was making me brave, I thought it was making me confident and it was actually the complete opposite. It was silencing me.”

She added: “It just ended up coming to a surface. I knew a lot of it was coming up, coming up and I couldn’t suppress it any more.

“The alcohol wasn’t numbing anything. It wasn’t numb anymore. I was just numb.

“I couldn’t even understand stuff that was coming out of my mouth. It didn’t sound like me.”

Jessica opted to seek out counselling for support, recalling: “My therapist was like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe somebody can cover that much trauma and fear and awareness. It takes people their whole life to discover those things.

“I really had to get back inside of the person that I am. When you do that self-reflection, it’s very empowering. It takes a lot of courage.

“I can promise anyone on the other side of that fear, that courage is so beautiful and it’s one of the most rewarding things and decisions I’ve ever made in my life, and I never thought I would have to make that decision.”
