Jennifer Garner and Bradley Cooper have thrown cold water on hot rumours they were building a bubbling romance after insisting they are just long time friends.
Fans of the Hollywood stars will recall the pair being co-stars on JJ Abrams’ hit spy drama Alias back in the early 2000s – where 48-year-old Jen played CIA agent Sydney Bristow while 45-year-old Bradley played journalist friend Will Tippin.
However, tongues have been wagging in recent weeks after the pair were spotted catching up on the beach in California after both splitting from their respective love interests.
Jennifer was spied on the beach in Malibu on Wednesday where she joined Bradley and his three-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, 34.
While Jennifer reportedly broke up with 42-year-old businessman boyfriend John Miller one day earlier, following two years of romance.
A source told US Weekly of Jennifer and Bradley’s beach hangout: “They are friends and have been forever.”
While another source told TMZ: “[Cooper and Garner] are friends and have been forever… [there is] no truth to anything else.”
Jen is believed to have split from John after parting on “very amicable terms”.
In 2018, Jennifer praised her friend Bradley as she honoured him at the 32nd American Cinematheque Awards.
She gushed: “Those of us who knew him then celebrated his victories big and small.
”There is something about people who are the same in success and failure that makes us love them and tells us we know the very heart of them.”
And, after joking that the two bonded when she first welcomed him to Hollywood by cooking him dinner, she added: “I know the heart and stomach of Bradley Cooper.”
Bradley split from Russian model lover Irina in 2019 after four years together.
