Jennifer Aniston admitted doubts over Brad Pitt just two years after OTT wedding
The Friends actress hinted she was having doubts about her marriage some three years before it imploded
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt tied the knot 20 years ago today in a stunning cliff-top ceremony in Malibu surrounded by their close friends and family.
The lavish day featured a gospel choir, fireworks and more than 50,000 flowers with the final bill topping $1million as the power couple spared no expense in celebrating their union.
But bizarrely just two years after the so-called ‘showbiz wedding of the decade’, Jennifer confessed she wasn’t sure if Brad was The One.
During an interview with W magazine in February 2003, Jen hinted that she had doubts her husband was the love of her life but she knew they had ‘something special.’
The surprising answer came as the Friends star was asked to describe her feelings for the actor.
“Is he the love of my life? I think you’re always sort of wondering, ‘Are you the love of my life?’ I mean, I don’t know,” she responded.
“I’ve never been someone who says, ‘He’s the love of my life.’ He’s certainly a big love in my life,” she added.
Three years later, Jennifer and Brad stunned fans by announcing their love was no more and they were going their separate ways.
Thankfully, since the very bitter split (which included allegations of Brad’s affair with Angelina Jolie ) the pair have managed to rekindle their friendship, as their cosy display at the SAG Awards in January proved.
As the exes hugged and gazed adoringly at each other, fans began dreaming of a romantic reunion between the pair.
But both parties dashed hopes by insisting they are just friends.
On the eve of the anniversary of his first wedding to Jennifer, Brad was pictured arriving at second wife Angelina Jolie’s house.
The 56-year-old actor was seen arriving at Angelina’s gated home in Los Angeles for a reunion with her and their children.
The pair appear to have entered a new phase of their relationship after putting their 2016 break-up behind them.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year, Angelina admitted she would have left Hollywood and moved abroad if it wasn’t for Brad needing to see their kids.
Asked about her desire to explore other countries she said “[I] would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18.”
