Strictly fan favourite Jamie Laing has opened up about his life when he first found fame.

The Made In Chelsea star, who is currently partnered with Karen Hauer on Strictly, says he’s “learned from his mistakes.”

He recalled starting on MIC at just 22 years old, back in the days when he and best mate Spencer Matthews were making headlines with their party-going exploits.

Jamie’s now happy with MIC co-star Sophie ‘Habbs’ Habboo, having left his “life being unfaithful” as a thing of his past.

He told OK! : “We were going out a lot, meeting new people, partying a lot and we thought we were famous!

“But you soon realise that a life being unfaithful to women isn’t a charming life to live. It’s not respected and people don’t look at you terribly fondly.

“You soon realise your mistakes and learn from them – I’ve certainly learnt from mine. I don’t regret anything, but I’ll never forget upsetting others and myself.”

Jamie, now 32, also recalled how best mate Spencer developed a reputation after a number of his relationships came to a dramatic end on-screen.

Spencer is now married and shares two kids with wife Vogue Williams.

“If you speak to Spencer I’m sure he’d regret how he behaved in the past, but look at him now!” Jamie added.

Now in a committed relationship with Habbs, Jamie’s even got marriage on the mind – and said he might propose if he wins.

Jamie was ecstatic to be joining the Strictly line-up this year, having put his name down for 2019 but having to pull out at the last minute due to an injury.

Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher stepped up to fill his spot, and went on to lift the Glitterball Trophy with Oti Mabuse.

Jamie and Karen racked up 16 points from the judges on Saturday’s show, just one point ahead of Clara Amfo and Aljaz Skorjanec.

They also had the edge on Jacqui Smith and Anton du Beke, who were eliminated on Sunday’s show.
