James Argent has pledged his devotion to “die trying” to get fit as he posted an eye-opening transformation snap with his fan base
James Argent is determined he’s going to die trying to get fit.
Most recently the reality star, of TOWIE fame, lost a further two stone after he jetted out to a Portugal bootcamp.
He’s lost around five stone out of his eight-stone weight loss goal.
Continuing his pledge to get fit, the TV personality shared an astonishing body transformation snap on his Instagram with his fans.
It was a direct comparison of his slimmed-down weight now to his heaviest weigh in at 24 stone.
He wrote to his 778k fans: “Get Fit or Die Tryin’.”
Arg has been training to do the 10-mile swimming challenge from Europe to Africa, having previously trained for Channel 4’s TV show Sink Or Swim last year.
A source told The Sun : “It’s a mad thing to undergo, but Arg is at his best with a goal in mind.
“He’s told mates he’s determined to stay fit and well after a good year of doing so, so he is undertaking this as a challenge to himself.”
His health overhaul has been down to James making some major lifestyle changes including ditching cocaine and staying sober.
The star suffered two near fatal overdoses last year which left his family and friends in utter despair.
James broke down in tears as he joined his mother Patricia on Loose Women while she spoke about her son’s addiction battle for the first time.
They made the TV appearance in early October to mark Arg being sober and clean for nine months.
Patrica compassionately told of her son’s devastating 7-year battle with cocaine while in the limelight.
She said: “Oh it was absolutely devastating. I’ve never gone public. This is really big thing for me. I support my son the way. We have to rejoice in that.
“I want to help other people, other mothers. Children going through anything. Worst possible nightmare a mother can face.”
Arg sobbed: “This is the first time where I got a bit choked up. It’s one thing putting myself and ruining my own life but another thing affect on family and friends.”
