Hilary Duff was left squealing in discomfort as she got a coronavirus test taken.

The former Lizzie McGuire actress, 33, took to her Instagram account on Monday to share a video of herself getting a nose swab taken, which is a standard part of testing for the bug.

She filmed herself with her phone placed in her lap as she sat in a chair while a medical professional stuck the cotton-bud like stick into her nostril.

Grimacing in discomfort as the swab went in, she pulled away slightly and did a fake sob while the other person moved it around her nose.

“Oh my God!” she said during the test.

In the clip she was dressed for the cold in a brown check coat with a thick grey jumper underneath.

Hilary wore her hair up and accessorised with a large pair of gold hoop earrings.

At the end of the video she quickly pulled away and looked miserably at the camera.

The test appeared to be taken on set of her latest project as other people walked around behind her.

Hilary captioned the post: “Welcome back to work.

“Covid test number 1001.”

As of Monday night UK time, 8,033,171 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the US.
