Gwen Stefani’s fiancé Blake Shelton asked her sons for their blessing before proposing

Before getting down on one knee, Blake Shelton sought permission from Gwen Stefani‘s three sons.
The country singer, 44, last month popped the question to the former No Doubt singer, 51, after first meeting each other in 2015.
And it seems as though the pair were made to last, because for Gwen’s three boys Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and six-year-old Apollo, it was a no-brainer.
An insider told People: “Blake told her boys that he wanted to propose and asked their permission.
“Her family very much approves of him. He’s an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise.”
Mirror Online has contacted Blake and Gwen’s reps for comment.
The pair shared the exciting news on their respective Instagram accounts last week, as Gwen couldn’t contain her excitement.
Gushing over her new fiancé, Gwen shared a snap of them kissing as she proudly held up her left hand to show the ring.
“@blakeshelton yes please! gx,” leaving fans delighted with the news.
Meanwhile Blake also shared the news on his Twitter account, telling the world that Gwen had totally turned his year around.
Sharing the same picture, he penned: “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”
Gwen and Blake met in 2015 when they both starred on TV show The Voice as coaches.
They grew close after bonding over their recent heartbreak and respective divorces.
Gwen divorced Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale in 2016 after 13 years of marriage.
Meanwhile Blake and country star Miranda Lambert called it quits in 2015, after tying the knot in 2011.
He was previously married to ex-wife Kaynette Williams from 2003 until 2006.
In November, it was reported that Blake and Gwen were making plans for their long future together.
The source told People: “They’re still madly in love and beyond inseparable. Blake has wanted to take his time with marriage, but he is absolutely committed to Gwen.
“They both feel they’ve found their true partner in life and plan to be together forever.”
Gwen and Blake regularly share snaps of each other on social media, including behind the scenes shots of them at The Voice.
