GMB bosses are worried that they could lose Ranvir Singh following her huge success and popularity on Strictly, it has been reported.
The political editor, 43, is said to be in negotiations with the channel as her current contract is due to end in the new year.
But insiders have claimed her growing popularity on the BBC dance show has put ITV on the back foot as bosses fear she’ll be inundated with more lucrative offers from other broadcasters.
A source has suggested that Ranvir is “bigger than standing on Downing Street in the rain in the early hours of the morning now,” according to MailOnline.
“She has shown her true self on Strictly and is now quite the star,” they told the publication.
The politics buff often stands in for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, but her growing popularity could see her interest piqued elsewhere.
It comes as the telly personality has captivated Strictly fans with her romantic performances with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice.
Their chemistry has been the talk of the nation, but love-hungry viewers hoping Ranvir and Giovanni’s chemistry is for real had their hopes shattered as their apparent “romance” is just for the cameras, it was claimed earlier this week.
The duo danced a Viennese Waltz to She Used To Be Mine from Waitress Saturday night – and their routine left the judges wowed.
Fans at home even spotted Giovanni kissing her head – and it got people talking.
It prompted wild speculation that they could indeed be dating as eagle-eyed viewers took to social media. But a show insider has burst their bubble.
