Gogglebox star Tom Malone has slammed a number of cruel trolls who directed racial abuse towards his stunning girlfriend.

The much-loved telly star, 26, was nothing short of horrified after laying eyes on a swarm of vile racist messages sent from keyboard warriors which targeted his model girlfriend Bryony Briscoe.

Tom took to Twitter to discuss the important topic of racism as he insisted that “it’s a massive issue” across the UK before adding that he was tired of people “belittling the issue”.

Dance master Tom, who went public with his relationship in June, posted a screenshot of a horrible comment which was left under his latest Instagram post with Bryony.

The pair were pictured snuggling up to one another in the loved-up snap, but it didn’t go down well with some cruel followers who mocked beautiful Bryony for the colour of her skin.

“Where’s ya bird.???” the troll wrote underneath the snap, before adding a string of monkey emojis to add to the degrading comment.

Calling out the vile remark, Tom took to Twitter to insist that people in the UK need to open their eyes when it comes to the realities of racism in society today.

“This happened just minutes ago….2020,” he wrote beside the picture.

“Racism is a massive issue in the UK whether you want to admit it or not.

“#BlackLivesMatter,” he told his 64,300 followers.

Following an outpour of support from his loyal fans, Tom returned to Twitter a short while later to address the disgusting comment once again.

The star penned: “A lot of people are trying to brush this off as someone that’s ‘jealous’.

“I know you guys mean well but that’s just belittling the issue. The issue here is blatant racism… not jealousy.

“Most people who get jealous resort to unfollowing me…not racial abuse,” he insisted.

Tom and Bryony have been dating since June after meeting through mutual friends.
