Gogglebox: Daniel shows off his new haircut

Gogglebox fans failed to recognise star Daniel Lustig after he showcased his new blonde locks, the second dramatic appearance alteration in just a few months.

The TV favourite, who appears on the hit- Channel 4 show alongside his hairdresser husband Stephen Webb, was once famous for his bouncy brown curls.

But now the 46-year-old has sent fans into a frenzy after opting for a short-cut blonde mini quiff, alongside a face of clean stubble.

Sharing a picture with his 97,000 Instagram followers, he said: “Waiting for my iced Frappuccino in the car which my lovely husband has fetched @stephengwebb1971 Air con all the way today.

“Keep cool #blondehair #toohottohandle #husbands.”

He later shared a follow-up snap with the Starbuck cup in-hand.

Fans were quick to pile into the comment section to discuss the telly star’s new bleach blonde look.

“Wow didn’t recognise you at first!!! Loving the hair,” said one fan.

Another said: “Didn’t recognise you, hair looks good.”

A third, who clearly couldn’t tell who the TV was at all, added: “Who are you??”

Others rushed to compliment his new hair do. They commented: “Lookin great hun, hair really suits you and loving the nails, great colour xxx”

Another echoed: “Lovin the new hair really suits you.” Another user added: “Loving your hair.”

This isn’t the first time Daniel has shocked fans with a dramatic barnet transformation.

It was March this year that he chopped off his flowing locks as he opted for a shorter-cut hair style.

He appeared on Gogglebox sporting his new look, alongside a cleanly-shaven face – another addition that shocked his adoring fans.

A third said: “Daniel looks like Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber”.

One fan of the show went so far as to suggest Daniel should find a new hairdresser, tweeting: “Daniel looks like a schoolboy now with his new haircut, missing the curls #Gogglebox #sackyourhairdresser”.

Some fans of the show preferred Daniel’s new look, saying: “Daniel looking better after dropping the Mick Hucknall look”

The couple had previously taken some time off the show to recover from Covid.

In February, Stephen tested positive for the virus, letting fans know in an Instagram post addressed to the crew of the TV show.

Wearing a grey jumper, baseball cap and stripy socks, he said: “Hello, this is a message to the Gogglebox crew. Good luck filming this week.

“I can’t wait to see you Friday. I need a laugh desperately. We can’t film this week because I’ve got Covid.”

He went on to show fans the “little room” he’d spent his isolation in, with a “tiny little bed” and “little bathroom”.
