Geri Halliwell dresses up as Queen Elizabeth I for new YouTube series

Ginger Spice looks every inch the virgin queen as she honours historical Girl Power in her new self-penned venture in to acting, mysteriously known only as Rainbow Woman

Cheeky Ginger Spice once pinched our future king’s bum, now she has nicked an old monarch’s complete look.

Geri Horner, 48, wearing a lavish 16th century-style frock and gems looks uncannily like Elizabeth I.

Tudor Become One as she plays the Virgin Queen in a new self-penned and directed YouTube series, Rainbow Woman.

The Wannabe singer, who wore a Union Jack dress to the 1997 Brit Awards, has some tough acts to follow.

Dame Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett and Bette Davis have all played Good Queen Bess.

Elizabeth, who beat the Spanish Armada, had plenty of what royalist Geri, a Royal Commonwealth Society ambassador, would call girl power.

Rainbow Woman will follow the Spice Girl on different adventures and feature music she has written.

The first episode, entitled Queen Speaks, will be a tribute to the Tudor Queen and will see Horner in full costume at Ashridge House, where Elizabeth lived as a princess until she was arrested by her sister Queen Mary in 1554.

It was previously reported that mum-of-two Geri had registered a new children’s book series under the banner Rainbow Woman.

A source told The Sun : “Rainbow Woman will build on the Spice Girls’ ‘Girl Power’ legacy, but will also celebrate diversity and LGBTQ people, which she has long been a supporter of.

“Geri is all about love and acceptance so it’s important for that to be at the centre of everything she does.
