Naturalist Chris Packham has revealed a softer side to the GC after she recently appeared on Springwatch.
Gemma Collins is known for her diva ways, but speaking after doing a panel talk at the Leftfield Tent at Glastonbury, Chris said: “Gemma has a very different audience to Springwatch, but we want to reach those people and help them develop an affinity for natural history.
“We need people like Gemma on board. She said yes straight away when she was asked. Gemma stuck around for ages, she did everything that we asked her to do and absolutely bought into it and constantly said how much she was enjoying herself.

“She wasn’t a diva in the slightest. We had a great conversation about plants and gardens.”
Chris now has his eyes on getting footballer Marcus Rashford on the show. He adds: “He is an absolute hero of mine. I had such admiration for all of his campaigning work and the way he’s used his profile.”
Chris was taking part in two talks at Glastonbury on Friday after being invited by close musician pal Billy Bragg. One was on the environment and the other was on neurodiversity including autism.

It is Chris’s first time at the festival, but Chris, who has Asperger’s, admitted his condition had made the experience tough.
He said: “I’ve never been before because I avoid very large and unpredictable crowds of people.
“There’s anxiety that builds, I can get internally het up because I’m not in control of the situation.”
