Gemma Collins had a dramatic turnaround as she bravely stepped on board a helicopter.
Years after her meltdown on I’m A Celebrity, when she broke down in tears and refused to fly into camp, the GC happily boarded one in a bid to travel in style.
Detailing the flight on her Instagram story, Gemma, 39, showed the pilot who was stood by the chopper waiting to welcome her on board.
“Darling, let’s go,” she excitedly exclaimed.
She added: “This is the way the GC travels, it’s no joke. This is my pilot.”
Stepping on board with a visor covering her face, she strapped in ready for her ride.
She told her fans: “Guys, this is the GC, I’m going up!”
She also reassured her followers that she was fine, shouting “Guys, I’m alive” over the sound of the whirring blades.
Gemma insisted: “Next time we go up I might be brave enough to do some flips in the air.
“I’ll join the Red Arrows!”
Gemma really got into it as she came to a stop, saying: “Air traffic control, the GC had landed.”
Updating her fans after her feet were back on the ground, she said: “I’ve survived, don’t panic everyone. I am still here with you.”
Gemma is back in the UK to film a new series of her reality show Diva Forever.
Despite having the time of her life, Gemma did panic in one moment, telling the pilot: “I can smell a funny smell from the engine.”
After he responded, she said: “Fair enough, if we’re going we’re going together.”
Gemma’s reaction is a far cry to the one she had back in 2014.
Her short-lived time in the I’m A Celeb jungle got off to an eventful star as she refused to fly into the camp by helicopter.
A sobbing Gemma stormed off the helicopter leaving her campmates to fly off without her.
She explained: “It’s like the turtle and the rabbit, or the horse and the rabbit, I can’t remember what it was … but the slowest one won in the end.”
She added: “Some people need breaking in gently.”
Even walking into the camp proved difficult for Gemma, who fell over and feared that there might be lions in the woods.
She dramatically threatened to quit, saying: “If I’m not in that camp in three minutes I’m quitting. It’s too much. It’s just too much.”
