Ferne McCann has hit out at the bad habits of men in the dating world as she reflected on her return to single status.

The 30-year-old mum-of-one has been single again since May after she was dumped by 25-year-old city trader Albie Gibbs.

Ferne – who starred on The Only Way Is Essex between 2013 and 2016 – is now hoping to find love again, although she hints she is in no rush to settled down.

And indeed, Ferne appears to be warning prospective future lovers that she will not stand for their lack of romantic attention and will not have time for people who read her WhatsApp messages and then not respond.

Speaking to the Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine, Ferne said of her return to the dating world: “I’ve been on a few dates, but I’m not putting pressure on it or looking to settle down. I have just surrendered with my love life and what will be will be.”

Long time fans of TOWIE will recall Ferne having a very passionate approach to romance – in the sense there would sometime be frequent explosive arguments between her and her lovers.

She said: “I think if you’re one of those people who likes to have a stalk or a Google, that will never leave you, but my god, I have changed so much! The obsessing and the throwing my all into someone? That’s gone.”

Explaining her no-nonsense approach to dating, she continued: ”I don’t have time to wonder why he’s left me on a blue tick – if you’re not going to reply to me then, sorry, you literally won’t be able to handle me in a relationship because then I’ll want to be chatting to you all the time.”

While the reality star hinted some men might struggle to deal with her fame, adding: “Some men can handle that, some can’t. I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. Sometimes that’s endearing, sometimes it can be scary. I have toned it down a lot now, though.”

Ferne and Albi met in Dubai last year – and split in May this year with Ferne branding the younger man at the time: “the right guy at the wrong time.”

He has since moved on and is said to be happy in a new relationship, while Ferne is left single.

The reality star has been unlucky in love, with her fiery, short-lived romances captured on camera during her time on TOWIE.

While her subsequence romance with Arthur Collins – who is the father to her three-year-old daughter, Sunday – ended in disaster when he was arrested for GBH and ABH after he threw corrosive acid on a crowd of clubbers in East London in 2017.
