Emma Bunton stars in EastEnders in 1992

Emma Bunton has revealed she had a small part in EastEnders 30 years ago.

Calling it her “most iconic role”, the Spice Girl shared a throwback clip of herself in action on the BBC soap on Instagram.

The star would have been around 16 at the time and looks barely recognisable to the Emma we know and love now.

Sporting early Nineties hair, the What Took You So Long singer played a mugger who tried to steal an old man’s wallet with a pal.

But things go wrong when the man grabbed hold of Emma’s character and her pal ran off with the money.

Her celebrity pals were quick to comment underneath with Dawn O’Porter writing: “BAD SPICE”, while Scarlett Moffatt said “ICONIC”.

Fans also chimed in with one calling Emma’s short performance “Oscar worthy!”.

“Lol smoking and robbing, not the baby Bunton we know and love,” a fourth commented.

“Before Baby Spice, there was Criminal Spice!” a fifth said, while a sixth added: “We need a RETURN.”

She had a recurring role in Absolutely Fabulous alongside Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley from 2003 to 2012.

Emma was a judge on Dancing on Ice, TV show Boy Band and assisted Dannii Minogue in choosing contestants on The X Factor.

The mum-of-two has also stepped in as a guest presenter for This Morning, Lorraine and Loose Women.

Her film work includes cameos in Keith Lemon: The Film and Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.

And Emma is about to appear in a new documentary – all about the Spice Girls.

The new docuseries is set to air on Netflix and will feature all of the group, including Victoria Beckham.

The Sun claims Victoria and her former bandmates have all signed on the dotted line agreeing to take part in the show, which will explore their rise to fame.

The exciting project will reportedly feature anecdotes from their time at the height of fame as well as unheard stories.

Mel B gave fans a taste of what’s to come when she revealed the secret behind one of her most famous verses.

“The rap in the Wannabe video, I actually wrote on the toilet while the other girls were doing the vocals,” she explained.

Fans will have to wait and tune in to see what else will be revealed…
