A day after she said her goodbyes, Janie took to Instagram to share an open letter addressed to her rock star husband.

The widow, 50, said she ‘never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness’.

Reeling off her nicknames for Eddie, Janie said the letter was for ‘My husband, my love, my Peep.’

She went on: “‘My heart and soul have been shattered into a million pieces. I never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness.

“Our journey together has not always been an easy one but in the end and always we have a connection and love that will always be.”

Speaking of their final moments together, Janie said: “Saying goodbye is the hardest thing I have ever had to do so instead i say so long, I will see you again soon in a place with no pain or sorrow.

“Please watch over Kody and I. We love you and miss you very much.”

She then finished: “Love, your PooPee” followed up with a string of love hearts.

The post was shared along with a picture of the pair at the beach with their legs entwined.
