Ed Sheeran broke cover with his daughter Lyra Antarctica for the first time.
The proud dad, 29, kept his newborn close in her carrier while they headed out in the morning in London.
It’s been a whirlwind month since Cherry Seaborn welcomed their daughter into the world and Ed shared the news happily on Instagram.
His gorgeous wife didn’t join the father and daughter duo on their early morning outing in the British capital.
The musician kept his look casual in a leather jacket and a baseball cap as he battled the cooler temperatures.
Their daughter has the most adorable albeit unusual name which was such a delight to his fan base.
It’s inspired by Ed’s love of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy featuring a young protagonist of the same name.
It’s not been long since Ed happily shared the news with his 31.1million fans on his Instagram account.
In a loving message, the redhead singer revealed the couple were “completely in love with her”.
Ed gushed his wife and baby were “doing amazing” while he celebrated they were on “cloud nine”.
He wrote: “Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you…
“Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
“We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here.
“We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x.”
The couple kept their pregnancy a secret as much as possible as they didn’t go public with their happy news until their daughter was born.
Elsewhere, his tattooist Kevin, who owns Kevin Paul Tattoo Studio in Derby, revealed Ed had been planning to get a tattoo when his baby arrived.
The artist, who has worked on Ed’s body art since 2012, thought the redhead would opt for the special tattoo on his back.
“He has always planned to get tattoos for his kids – being a dad is something that he has always spoken about and the most important thing in his life,” he told The Sun.
“Ed hasn’t said what he will get – I’m sure that will be down to if it’s a boy or a girl and what they end up naming them.
“I’m sure he will do something pretty bonkers like the rest of his tattoos! I think it’ll be on his back – he has half-covered his back now, but he’s kept the tattoos private as it’s all personal stuff.”
Ed and Cherry have maintained a low-key romance while in the limelight.
