Dwayne Johnson has turned back the clock to 1983 and shared an epic pic of him posing in his dad’s wrestling trunks.
The 48-year-old Hollywood actor originally became a global star in the wrestling ring as The Rock before forging a career in movies.
Dwayne can be seen wearing a jacket and white boots with a championship belt over his shoulder in the amazing Instagram throwback snap.
Captioning the pic, he wrote: “A lil’ throwback action to 1983, when I was 11 years old – I used to LOVE putting on my dad’s wrestling trunks, boots, jacket and championship belts – dreaming of one day becoming a pro wrestling champion.”
Dwayne added: “Only thing I forgot to wear was my training bra!! ️C’mon afro tits, you’re gonna be late for school! #thankgodforpuberty #afrotits #stillaBMF”
Dwayne’s father, Rocky Johnson, was a professional wrestler who joined the WWE in 1983.
He joined forces with Tony Atlas and they became the first African American tag team – known as The Soul Patrol – to win the World Tag Team Championship in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Rocky passed away in January, aged 75, and Dwayne paid tribute to his father at the time.
He wrote a moving tribute on Instagram, which read: “Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you, before you crossed over to the other side.
“But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning. Gone in an instant and no coming back. Im in pain. But we know it’s just pain and it’ll pass.”
Dwayne has been delving into his past in recent weeks and he recently shared a throwback photo of himself during his school days.
Wearing a multicoloured shirt, Dwayne is seen smiling into the camera. He captioned the post: “Throwback to 7 years old in Hawaii, and just drippin’ cool with my buck teeth, aloha shirt and WTF is going on with my afro matted down on one side!?
“No way this stud doesn’t grow up to become Sexiest Man Alive.”
Of course, he did grow up to do so, scooping the award in 2016.
Dwayne finished his jokey caption: “#HellooooLadies #KingOf2ndGrade.”
