Dog The Bounty Hunter insists he’s “no longer afraid to die” after tragically losing wife Beth Chapman to cancer last year.

The TV star, 67, whose real name is Duane Chapman, says the heartbreak of losing his beloved wife has given him a different outlook on life and death.

Beth – who tied the knot to Duane in 2006 – tragically passed away in June last year after a long battle with stage four throat cancer.

Devastated Dog has since confessed losing Beth has been the toughest thing he’s ever had to endure, and says he’s had to thoroughly adjust to life without her.

Speaking to Daily Star, he said: “It is the worst thing I have ever been through in my entire life. It just feels terrible to lose a spouse and have your wife go before you.

“I’ve had to adjust – Beth isn’t there anymore telling me to stay back or warning me a guy is about to shoot.

“But I’m no longer afraid to die. I don’t want to die, but I’m not scared anymore. When I go to catch somebody, I stick out my chest and go for it.”

Beth died aged 51 as the pair were filming the new series of their show Dog’s Most Wanted – which saw them track down criminals that had evaded the law.

The hit series showed the couple’s life behind the scenes, as they dealt with the news that Beth’s cancer had returned.

The series followed her treatment and showed just how supportive Dog was during that heartbreaking period of time.

Beth and Dog first met in the 1990s and dated for several years before shooting to fame in 2004 with their television show Dog The Bounty Hunter, and spin off Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.

The couple tied the knot in 2006 and share two children together. Dog also adopted Beth’s daughter Cecily from a previous marriage.

Earlier this year Dog also revealed that he had found a second chance at happiness and was engaged to girlfriend Francie Frane.
