David Walliams hits dizzying new heights for his latest project.
The Britain’s Got Talent favourite is starring as the giant in a special festive production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
He co-wrote the show, which re-imagines the classic fairy tale and what happened next.
And he says it would be a tall order for pal Simon Cowell to play his role – unless he ate some magic beans to gain a few inches.
David said: “I once saw him without high heels out of the corner of my eye when we were going to an airport – I was like, ‘Who’s that little man over there?’
“He’d had to take his shoes off because we were going through security.
“So no, he couldn’t be the giant.”
Jack and the Beanstalk: After Ever After also stars Sheridan Smith and Blake Harrison, with Eddie Karanja as Jack.
It will air on Sky One this Christmas.
It comes as David was seen with Little Britain co-star Matt Lucas for the first time in two years, sparking rumours that Little Britain 2 is finally on the way.
By 2011 their relationship had completely broken down and they stopped speaking for almost a decade.
But now they have mended their formerly icy relationship, with the duo now talking again every day and spending quality time together.
Meanwhile, Amanda Holden has refused to rule out a surprise Simon Cowell appearance in Britain’s Got Talent’s upcoming Christmas special.
It’s thought Simon was gutted to be told by doctors that he shouldn’t travel back to the UK to film it, after he suffered a nasty back injury in Malibu, California.
