Corrie’s Tina O’Brien posed with the body double who was used to film the first dramatic socially distanced stunt in soapland.

TV bosses have put special socially distanced measures in place when Coronation Street resumed filming in June following the coronavirus lockdown.

Tina was in the stilettos of her long-running character Sarah Platt when she played a part of ITV’s first ever socially distanced stunt.

Fans speechless when the scenes aired showing Gary Windass (Mikey North) risking his life for Sarah when she almost gets hit by a car.

In heart-stopping scenes, Gary pushed Sarah out of the way to save her from death.

A mannequin was used in filming instead of Tina to ensure the actors stuck to social distancing rules amid the coronavirus.

Tina proudly posed with her body double on the cobbles.

TV hair and make-up artist Poppy Nicholson captured the moment when Tina greeted her plastic body double for the first time and shared it on Instagram.

Her body double had the same flowing golden locks which bounced off her shoulders.

The doll also sported the same bright shade of pink lipstick Tina always wears.

Actors have been getting used to the new special measures while shooting scenes on the cobbles.

First scenes filmed through lockdown hit screens earlier this month.

The car incident played out on screens was among the first episodes filmed after lockdown measures started to ease.

Mikey hailed the socially distanced stunt a success because he felt the scene didn’t lose any of its meaning.

He said: “This was the very first three episodes that I have filmed after lockdown.

“We have had to alter and change things but I don’t think it has lost any of its intention and hopefully it will be just as good as it would have been on location.
