Christine McGuinness has compared her new stray cat to her husband Paddy as she revealed that both have “had the snip”.

The mum-of-three, 32, introduced fans to her new feline as she revealed her kids named him Millie McGuinness before finding out that the cat was a male.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star told her 477k followers: “So many of you have asked about Millie the cat, he’s a stray cat who has just become part of the family.

“We have him checked, definitely didn’t belong to anybody else. So today, Millie has officially been registered as Millie McGuinness, so he’s our cat.”

Paddy took to Twitter to introduce his followers to their new family member.

The telly host snapped up a picture of Millie cleaning himself on the floor, writing: “No matter how close you look I don’t think you’re going to find them my mate. #CatsOfTwitter #beentothevets #catstration.”

Paddy – who shares twins Leo and Penelope, and daughter Felicity with wife Christine – underwent a vasectomy last June.

During his recovery process, he warned fans: “If you’re discussing getting a vasectomy with your wife or maybe your wife getting sterilised, trust me, get the vasectomy.

“If your wife gets sterilised it’s major surgery for the lady. Health complications aside your lady could be out of action for a month.”

Christine has previously opened up about the struggle of parenting three autistic children, and revealed she blamed herself for her children’s disabilities.

Speaking on MTV podcast Nappy Days, Christine said: “They were with me permanently. My husband works away a lot so I thought maybe it was me and that I hadn’t taught them very well.

“They also never went to nursery or play groups so I blamed myself for them having no social skills. I thought that it was down to me doing a rubbish job as a mother.”
