Chrissy Teigen has made her first comment on social media since the tragic death of her third child last month.
On Saturday, the 34-year-old model and TV host commented on an Instagram post shared by an account called Betches Media which shares lighthearted content.
A post about beauty care amid the ongoing pandemic brought a smile to the model following the tragic news that her baby son, named Jack, had passed away at the end of last month.
The post was a re-posting of a tweet reading: “Just booked an eyebrow waxing appointment and I’m excited I’ll be wearing a mask so I don’t have to hear ‘moustache too?’”
Appreciating the humour, Chrissy commented: “Finally, a giggle. Thank you.”
The interaction prompted messages of support for Chrissy, with many expressing compassion for her family tragedy.
One follower commented in response: “We love you so much, Chrissy”
While another wrote: “sending you so much love”.
And the Betches account owner wrote: “it is an honour and a privilege” alongside a red heart emoji.
At the end of September, Chrissy revealed on social media that she and her husband, singer John Legend, had lost their third child following difficulties in the pregnancy.
Sharing heartbreaking images of herself and John cradling their son, Jack, Chrissy wrote on Instagram: “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.
“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.
“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.
“So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
