Carole Baskin used to have a ‘wife’ after coming out as bisexual

Carole Baskin has revealed that she has been with both men and women and even had a partner she considered her wife back in the 1980s

Carole Baskin has revealed that she once had a wife after coming out as bisexual earlier this week.

The Tiger King star, 59, confessed that she has been with moth men and women, and even had a “nonsexual wife” back in the 1980s when same-sex marriage was still illegal, so they were never officially married.

But she said she could have easily married her as she did her two husbands Don Lewis, and then Howard Baskin, according to TMZ.

In another twist to the tale, Carole confessed that that her wife was actually straight and she always respected her boundaries, with the relationship never becoming sexual.

Carole said they loved each other in a platonic way, with her ‘wife’ doing all the cooking and cleaning, and even working as Carole’s secretary.

She doesn’t want to reveal the woman’s identity.

It comes after Carole publicly came out as bisexual.

She realised she was attracted to women during the AIDS crisis in the eighties while spending time with the LGBT+ community.

Carole told Pink News : “I have always considered myself to be bisexual. Even though I’ve never had a wife, I could just as easily have a wife as a husband.

“As far as the way I feel about us, I think we are all one and I just don’t see us as being different genders or different colours or anything.”

In the interview Carole said she feels she was born in the wrong body, but has now clarified that she doesn’t identify as transgender.

Carole, who was recently eliminated from Dancing With The Stars, shot to fame as part of the explosive Netflix docuseries Tiger King, about Joe Exotic.
