Candiace Dillard Reacts To The Fight With Monique Samuels One Year Later: Says She’s Still ‘Not Okay’

Although it was very entertaining TV, fans of Real Housewives of Potomac were sad to see a fight between two ladies turn physical at a winery. Even though was almost a year ago, Candiace Dillard is still not okay with what went down.

The ladies of Potomac are the best at throwing shade and slinging clever insults but unlike the Real Housewives of New Jersey, they never have gotten physical.

The latest installment saw Monique Samuels blackout and pull Candiace’s hair while delivering blows to her head. After production was able to pull her off, she tried to escape their clutches to deliver a round two.

The ladies haven’t spoken since the incident and the fight will change the dynamics of the rest of the season.

Dillard appeared on the Wendy Williams Show where she spoke out about it.

‘This is never somewhere that I saw myself being at any time. I’m not a fighter. It’s not what I do and having gone through this and having dealt with the trauma of it — it’s not what I see my legacy being.’

From a viewer’s point, it seemed that Monique had some pent up anger about Candiace being friends with Charisse Jordan who was spreading rumors that Monique’s former best friend made up about her. However, Candiace still doesn’t understand what made her so mad to actually get physical.

‘I still don’t know what exactly I did to this person. f she had asked me — which she never had a conversation with me about these rumors that she heard — she would have gotten clarity that I was never a part of a spin, a spreading or a plot. The fact that she’s now using that to justify what she did is poppycock. If you pay attention to the season, she never brings up these rumors and this plotting during the season. It only comes out and becomes an issue after we’ve wrapped filming. She was looking for a reason to justify attacking another Black woman on national television.’

She also admitted that she’s still not okay.
