Brad Pitt ‘s children reportedly haven’t seen their paternal grandparents for years.
It’s said that the six kids Brad shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie haven’t seen his parents since 2016 because of Angelina’s ‘feud’ with his mum.
Brad’s mother Jane has been celebrating her 80th birthday at her son’s multi-million dollar beach house, but while she’s been surrounded by her grandchildren, six of them have been missing.
Sources say that Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12, who Brad shares with Ang, haven’t been in attendance throughout the celebrations.
An insider told The Sun : “When they were together, Brad and Angelina would take the kids to visit their grandparents.
“The kids would run riot. The Pitts have a huge backyard and they would go sledding in winter and have campfires in the summer.”
But it’s said things made a massive U-turn when Brad, 56, and 45-year-old Angelina’s two-year marriage broke down in 2016.
Brad’s dad William has paid tribute to his grandchildren by naming streets and neighbourhoods in the housing estate he’s developed after them – with the exception of Brad and Angelina’s children.
The insider added: “Jane and William haven’t had the kids visit them since, as far as I know. I feel for Jane. She loves her grandchildren.
“But her and Angie never really saw eye to eye. Jane is a Christian conservative who once slammed gay marriage, while Angelina is a liberal who has dated women, so it was never a recipe for a friendship.”
Despite everything, the source said no one thought things would ever get this bad between the two women.
It’s claimed that the rift between Jane and Angelina began after Brad’s mum wrote a letter to her local newspaper, voicing her views against gay marriage.
It’s said these days that they “refuse to speak and Angelina doesn’t want her children to visit her”.
Jane has been celebrating her birthday at Brad’s Santa Barbara home, near California, with son Doug and his wife Lisa, and daughter Julie and her husband Robert, as well as her grandchildren Sydney, Reagan, Landon, Josie, Rylie, Caden and Cruz.
She’s said to be having a wonderful time despite the notable absences.
