Boosie Badazz Says R. Kelly Had More Hit Songs Than Michael Jackson

Boosie Badazz thinks R. Kelly just might be one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time, even more so than the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.

As most know, there have been many professional musicians and performing artists who have turned their backs on R. Kelly following the charges against him. When Lifetime’s docu-series, Surviving R. Kelly, first aired, many of his former collaborators came out to say they regretted having ever worked with him.

Even though Michael Jackson has a number of very serious allegations against him, it’s been widely assumed that the Thriller artist has gotten a pass on the allegations, especially considering he has already been dead for over a decade. Put simply, Michael hasn’t had a chance to defend himself.

Regarding Mr. Kelly, he has been accused of roping young women and underage girls into a s*x trafficking ring. Furthermore, Kelly has allegedly created child pornography tapes, which is extremely illegal.

Either way, despite the allegations against Kelly, Boosie Badazz, to this day, is a big fan of the shamed performing artist, even as he sits in jail awaiting his s*x trafficking trial. During an interview with Vlad TV, Badazz and Vlad discussed Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and August Alsina’s relationship woes, in the context of sexual abuse.

Badazz said in the interview that on account of Alsina’s age, it was comparable to the way in which Kelly roped underage women into relationships. At the time of their romance, August was much younger than Jada.

Badazz said in the interview that “nobody got more hits than R. Kelly.” The rapper went on to say, “I don’t give a d*mn what he did, who he f*cked.” Badazz explained how it was logically and morally inconsistent to give Michael Jackson a pass and not Kelly.

He said we couldn’t “take it away from him.” Vlad pressed him on his remarks, arguing that stars such as Stevie Wonder, Jackson, and Prince, had way more hits than Kelly by far.

Badazz is known for his interesting takes on controversial issues. More importantly, the rapper has dealt with his own legal challenges.
